Cala Goloritzè was included by TripAdvisor users among the 10 best beaches in Italy; It was declared a “natural monument” of the Sardinia Region in 1993 and “Italian national monument” in the 1995. The cove is located on the east coast of Sardinia, in the Golfo di Orosei, characterized by a remarkable variety of landscapes, with many small coves that overlook the beautiful sea of Ogliastra.
Many describe it as a small earthly paradise, because over the years the bay has remained pristine. The typical Mediterranean scrub reigns supreme on the cliff that surrounds the beach, formed by a myriad of white pebbles. A little further on you can see a natural arch and a source of fresh water from the underground flows into the sea.
FROM ARBATAX HOLIDAY HOME TO CALA GOLORITZÈ: HOW TO GET THERE
Our Arbatax holiday home is ideally located for easy access to Cala Goloritzé. The beach is reached in two ways: one by land, the other by sea.
The more adventurous can reach Cala Goloritzè on foot, through a trekking path. After having left his car parked in the Su Porteddu car park, there are several paths that lead to it up to Cala Luna and continue to Cala Goloritzè. The walking route is recommended for those who are used to trekking and long walks, since it lasts about an hour downhill and an hour e half uphill. It is also possible to reach Cala Goloritzè by sea using the transport services and boat rental from the nearby ports of Arbatax and Santa Maria Navarrese. Since 2007, to preserve the beach from pollution and the onslaught of tourists and preserve its wild state, it is impossible reach the coast with motor boats, which can only go up to 300 mt from the shore.
